Terribly mild weather for the time of year, if you think back to January 2011.  Snowdrops, daffodils, crocuses and primroses and other bits and pieces trying to do their spring stuff and starting to bloom at present in the garden.

We have an enormous variety of birds visiting our garden at The Cottage at the moment including a gorgeous woodpecker and a kingfisher.  We still have regular visits from local deer who have a habit of eating all our lovely plants! 

Frogspawn in the pond, squirrel keeps the nut feeder at low levels. Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Great-Tits, and a Black Cap, Fieldfare, longtailed teits all in abundance. This is probably due to the fact that we have a chemical free garden, coupled with the fact that we spend a lot of time and money encouraging birds with food.

The en-suite has just been completely redecorated with new furnishings etc, so those returning to us will see it a little bit more contemporary.

New televisions in the rooms as well. All digital now, with freeview.
